A Cold Saturday Update

Hey everyone! Here are some fresh pictures from our first few weeks here in Malawi. It has been pretty cold up here in Blantyre. We're in the middle of winter, but Summer is on it's way! For more information on what we've been up to lately, check out palmvalleychurch.com/malawi

Aisha running to visit the dogs - there are four of them, Roger, Bimbo, Bimbo II (no relation to Bimbo I), and Teddy. No, we had nothing to do with naming them Bimbo and no, they don't know what that means in the US.

Just landed in Malawi at the Blantyre Airport. I promise you've never seen an airport as small as this one. The pilot actually warned us when we were coming in for a landing that the runway was rough and full of potholes but that we had nothing to worry about. Hee hee.

The two most beautiful women in all of Africa in our front yard. By the way, Aisha is a really common (muslim) name here. The other day Rachel met another little 2 year old girl named Aisha - even spelled the same.

Aisha loves watching the chickens! In Chichewa Chickens are called ncookoo. That's an easy one to remember.

The bore hole for a well we are putting in in a village down south. I (Jeremy) took this picture yesterday. The people are in serious need of a well! Right now they get their water from a muddy creek and are dealing with all sorts of disease because of that. We'll have this well up and running within the next two weeks and they will have fresh water!!! Praise God.

A couple of the children from the village I visited yesterday. Notice the boy's hair is falling out from malnutrition. He's very sick. We pray clean well water will change that!

My aunt had just blessed me with one so we are storing your's for you. I really appreciate the gift though. You all mean a lot to me. Know that you are in my prayers. Love you, Prima
